Expands service to the Dallas/Fort Worth
Area
Cognent’s
acquisition of Plano based Splendid
Technology solidifies Cognent’s entry into
the Dallas Fort Worth area.
El Paso, Texas - Monday, October 31, 2005 –
El Paso based Cognent, Inc. announced this
morning it has agreed to acquire Plano Texas
based Splendid Technology, LLC. This
acquisition expands Cognent’s service area
from the El Paso, Cd. Juárez area to the
Dallas metro community. Splendid Technology
offers installation, technical support and
training of computer hardware, network and
software to which it will add Cognent’s
other service areas especially the Internet
services Cognent’s has become well known
for.
In announcing the acquisition of Splendid
Technology, Cognent’s CEO, Gerry Mangrum
stated, “This acquisition marks Cognent’s
continued strategy in aggressively seeking
to expand its market service area while
continuing Cognent’s tradition of bringing
world-class technology to all sectors of the
economy.” For his part, Jason Benoit,
President of Splendid Technology, LLC,

existing customer base a higher level of
technology and processes at very affordable
prices.” “This merger of our two firms

client bases”, Benoit added. Benoit has
accepted the position of Vice President of
Dallas Operations for Cognent, Inc.
effective immediately.
