Gerry Mangrum
joins Cognent, Inc. as CEO.
El Paso, Texas - June 14, 2005 - Horacio
Porras, Jr. president and co-founder of
Cognent, Inc. is proud to announce the
selection of Gerry Mangrum as CEO of
Cognent, Inc. Mr. Mangrum, a retired Naval
officer, was one of the top finalists for
the El Paso City Manager’s position, has a
well earned reputation as a community
leader, and has served on numerous boards.
He brings over 30 years of leadership and
management experience to Cognent.
In announcing the appointment, Porras
stated, “Mangrum’s leadership and management
experience brings focus to Cognent’s long
